It's like...when you start a new series and you're not into it but you feel like you should at least finish the season your on because you wasted enough time watching the first couple of episodes. (....Too honest?)Anyway--I see that some people enjoyed it, power to you, but...the whole thing just felt a bit too juvenile for me...I wanted to like you---but I think I'm going to have to break up with this game.. A very unique game. Despite the game's whole concept of "waiting", it is still paced very well that lets the player get scared when they least expect it. It is a very subtle horror game that is great for chills and sleepless nights. But then again, I am a massive scaredy cat. Just when you are about to forget, it reminds with haunting music that sounds amazing.. The game is confusing, boring and frustrating. You roam the map, you find almost nothing, you go to bed, you have to restart the game everytime you do that, and after that barely anything has changed.Maybe I just didn't play the game enough to enjoy it, but on the other hand, roaming around for 15 minutes and trying the same things over and over again is not enjoyable. I don't recommend it.. I don't understand this game, it's mostly just confusing and frustrating, and then all of a sudden, it's over and you don't even know what happened.. Several minutes ago I swear I thought, what is horror-ish here — empty rooms and disturbing soundtrack?Now, well... I can understand why I am so afraid of going on: I think I know what the rooms are, where they lead me to, what is in them, so I feel kind of relaxed about them. "There's nothing to surprise me..." — and, click, the thoughts of "what's wrong with the sounds", "where are the lights", "what if there is a jump-scare triggered on interaction with this, err, leg thing?" cross my mind.The environment is awe-some. The soundtrack, initially pretty turning into scaring echo of empty basement; those rooms, normal and calm — then crimson-red and outright dark; that girl with her distorted songs... *shivering*I am now afraid of imagining what was that room I've got into when I turned on & off the TV set too much. That face offering you some strange key, that is not letting you out of the darkness? Hell no, I'm not doing that!I am scared. And I am interested.But, yeah, sometimes the game gets way too cryptic to the point where I'm just bored to play.. Great game, reminds me of Silent Hill: The Room. Normal day to day stuff slowly turns into insanity. The one thing is the primary game mechanic for advancing the story feels like a gimmick, but you get used to it quickly at least. Definitely well worth your time and money. I like this game more than I thought I would. It is a kind of puzzle/horror game with an interesting story behind it and a unique gameplay mechanic. What I mean by story is not told in dialogue but in the environment. I say it is a good game at a good price.
